If you were asked about Jesus, what would you say? How would you help someone grow closer to Christ? Here is what some students learned while at Leadership...

The two things I liked were when we went out and witnessed to people, because it just felt so great to be able to go out and share about Jesus.
I also liked the small group time. It was fun because we all became good friends, and it was fun to be around other Christians. Gideon Johnson
The speakers really touched me, and I really, really liked the prayer concert. Carol Tweten

I had so much fun growing in the Word and being built up through Christian fellowship.
I thought I was going to be more nervous going out and witnessing, but I wasn't at all. It was awesome! Christina Rolf
I told my friends about my experience and had the chance to bring one to Christ.
It was awesome! Before, I just felt like no one would be willing...and I've realized that they do want to hear, if someone would tell them. Liv Bergstrom

About the Week...
|
- 4 people came to know Christ when students went out into the community and shared their testimony with them.
- Students were divided into 12 groups, each with one adult leader, to share Christ in nearby towns and parks.
- Students learned and used Bill Faye's "How to Share Your Faith Without an Arguement" as a tool for sharing.
They used a small New Testament where they highlighted 8 specific verses in sharing about Jesus and salvation.
- Being part of a small group meant that each student had the opportunity to lead devotions with their group at night.
- Each group studied an inductive method of Bible study and went through the first 12 chapters of John together.
- The Concert of Prayer was a special time for many students in preparation for sharing in the community.
- Morning devotions were led by a variety of people including Jonathan Unverzagt and Dale Finstrom.
- "Why Were You Surprised?" was the Friday evening message given by Pastor Bob Lee. He used the example of how God's Word is parallel to a gun. If an
intruder were to come into your home and you threatened to shoot him, if he said, "Sorry, I don't believe in guns," the gun would be no less effective.
- Questions asked in Bill Faye's survey:
- "Do you have any religious beliefs?"
- "To you, who is Jesus?"
- "Do you think there is a heaven or hell?"
- "If you died, where would you be?"
- "If you were wrong, would you want to know?"
