I loved the theme of this year's Leadership Conference.
Having a firm foundation in our youth groups, and especially in our own lives, is so important! It is the basis from which our actions and words as a Christian are created. Withouth a foundation in CHRIST, our actions and words become stained and tinted by the devil, the world, and our own flesh.

God was really speaking to me about not getting into the Bible and reading it. He was saying, "Sarah, if you are going to be a witness, you have to know what and who you
are witnessing to other people. So, get into My Word. You won't believe what's in there!"

I had so much fun at Leadership this year. I loved the Christian fellowship.
But I have to say, the thing I enjoyed most of all was the afterglow. It is a great encouragement to see other Christians just like me praising God in song and testimony.

If I had another week of vacation from work, I could do another conference next week...The Sonlife material challenged me to a much more Christ-like walk in terms of prayerful
dependence on God and loving relationships with others.

It was such a blessing to get together with other Christian kids my age and study the Bible.
I really appreciated the opportunity to do the Backyard Bible Club. I love working with kids, so that was really fun. Also, the afterglow was an eye-opening time.

I liked just about everything about camp, it was so much fun. The best part had to be the small group time.
It was great getting to know a bunch of people I wouldn't have talked to otherwise...As for now, I am trying to read the Bible every day and pray, not just at meal times.
