I was seeking brite (art) brushes. This came up with art supplies, and yes they are fine for chldren but I was looking for advanced art brushes.

My 4-year-old granddaughter decided she did not like getting her fingers dirty with her finger paints…go figure. So I chose these brushes because of price and the company’s reputation for quality. She liked them, I liked them, and they seem quite durable. The handles are color coded so the user can avoid mixing colors on one brush. Truth is, a 4-year-olds will mix or not as they please. But as an adult, I found the color coding a nice touch.

Melissa & Doug items are always great. I got these along with the paint cups, a paint tray and paints and my son and I enjoy free form art creation. Just the right size for little hands.

We got these for our then almost 2 year old son to go along with his easel at Christmas. He loves them and they are in the excellent condition after over 6 months of use. We did buy him thinner brushes a couple months ago as he expressed that he wanted to be able to draw more detail. These are great for larger areas but too big if they want to draw faces, etc unless they are very skilled (i.e. I can do it but no way a preschooler could).

I got these for my daughter because the handles were bigger. I am not impressed with anything except the handle size. The bristles fall out constantly and don’t hold the paint all that well.
